The crime rate is rising rapidly all over New Mexico. This is because of the revolving door of criminals being arrested and released the next day under the pretrial detention rules. The courts are backed up and meanwhile, the criminals roam free. As an experienced prosecutor, I know what needs to be done on this issue and I will fight for the necessary reforms to bring down the crime rate and restore law and order across our state.

1. Change the Pre-trial detention rules to allow prosecutors to hold violent and repeat offenders
2. Pursue legislation that toughens penalties for violent adult and juvenile offenders
3. Support and pursue legislation that makes the Court process easier on victims, especially children
